1st Place!

This weekend has been an exciting one! On Sunday my FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter went to the state convention in Fargo. It was so much fun! I competed in the Job Interview event, which was not as hard as what I expected, but it helped a ton that I have been in the same situation throughout my involvement with Miss America's Outstanding Teen. I even got to see one of the girls I competed against last year at the state Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen pageant. It was so nice catching up with her again. As it turned out, we both made it into the final round. We were both very nervous but knew we would do great.

After my final interview, I knew that I did my best and there was nothing else I could do but to sit and wait until Tuesday morning for the results. Trust me, it was very hard to go an entire night without knowing how I did! At the awards ceremony many students from my chapter placed in numerous events. Once it was my turn to go onstage I was so nervous my palms were sweating. In the end I got 1st place! I qualified to go to state in Nashville, TN! It all is so exciting and I cannot wait until this summer. Thank you to everyone that helped me...I could have never done any of this on my own!

Daddy Daughter Dance

This month has been the busiest and most stressful ever! With trying to get ready for the state pageant that is coming up right around the corner and all the state conferences going on, it has been crazy. If I did not have the support that I do I would be going nuts! I cannot believe how fast time has been going bye, I have so much to do in so little time. Having Caroline, my director, has been so helpful. She has been helping me with my platform, talent, and even everything that I am going to wear. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time!

Being Miss Eastern Dakota’s Outstanding Teen has some amazing benefits. For instance, last weekend I got that opportunity to spend time with all the girls that attended the Daddy Daughter Dance in Grand Forks. It was such a great experience and I would love to do it again. All the girls were great and I had so much fun dancing, signing autographs, and taking pictures. I cannot wait to do more appearances in the near future.
